Our Elementary Departments

Galaxy 6 (6 Years Old)
Six year old minds take flight in the “Galaxy 6” classroom. Galaxy 6 is a transitional class: although in the preschool wing, this class is part of the elementary department, bridging the gap between preschool and elementary with a class designed with a really cool space theme just for them. Praise and worship, games, object lessons, costumed characters, and puppets give 6 year olds a chance to learn God’s Word and have fun at the same time.

Bible Safari (7 Years – 4th grade)
Our children’s church is designed to teach boys and girls how to be involved in a regular worship service. You’ll find that our children’s church parallels our adult service in many ways. We feature praise and worship, altar ministry, offerings, Bible preaching, ushers, greeters, and altar workers. We also feature object lessons, puppets, skits, games, and loads of fun. You’ll also find many dedicated adults that lead the kids in worship and altar ministries in our largest room that resembles an African safari motif.

56th St. Café (5th & 6th grade)
This ministry parallels a regular worship service in many ways and encourages our preteens to understand the importance of a dynamic walk with the Lord. With an emphasis on service in God’s house and to others, 56th Street Café challenges and trains young people to discover their destiny in God! The exciting 50’s diner theme is sure to be a hit with your pre-teen.

More Cool Stuff for Elementary Kids!

SPECTRUM has… NRG!!
Calling all game players ages 6-12! NRG is a room exploding with sight and sound! All the coolest video games, dance dance revolution, rock climbing, and basketball court will require tons of energy on Thursday nights. There are also T.V. monitors lining the room where kids have a chance to let their audio and visual skills soar!

The Spectrum Store is a great way to reward boys and girls for their diligence and faithfulness. Each week elementary kids can rack up points for the Spectrum Store by attending weekly services, bringing their bible, participating in KidsHelp Level 7, and many more incentives. They can redeem their points at the store on a monthly basis to purchase all kinds of gifts, treats, toys, games, and more! In 2009, the Spectrum Store is open in NRG from 8:30 to 9:15 AM and 10:45 to 11:45 AM on the followings days:

The Spectrum Word Club
Every Sunday, the elementary kids are given a new scripture to memorize. Throughout the month, kids are encouragedt to come prepared, on the last Sunday of the month, to recite all four or five of the monthly scriptures for great rewards. They earn a store card of up to 105 points, a king-size candy bar, and a chance to win a $10 gift card to Toys R Us. Wow! God's Word really does reap great benefits.

KidsHelp Level 7
KidsHelp Level 7 (KL7) is an awesome opportunity for kids to get involved serving in God's house. A variety of ministries are available to serve in that interest your child while attending a Spectrum class… Greeter, Usher, Service, Sound/Media, or Praise Team. A KL7 application may be found near the Spectrum Help Desk on the 2nd floor for details about each ministry. Sign up and training is only available twice a year in March and September.

KL7 has seven levels to acquire. Each level has a specific criteria to meet and a very cool reward to reach for. Kids are promoted to the next level if they are faithful to their ministry and have met that level’s goals.
